At completion of this qualification you will graduate with the skills and knowledge required of a qualified Hairdresser working as part of a team. Learning all aspects of communication, consultation, selling, colouring, cutting & chemical work applied in a salon environment.
32 units must be completed:
- 6 elective units comprised of 3 units from group A or B and 3 units from Group C
In all cases selection of electives must be guided by the job outcome sought, local industry requirements and the characteristics of this qualification.
Suited to:
Persons interested in gathering the skills equivalent to a qualification in hairdressing. They may include high school students wanting to remain at school while undertaking a VET qualification, school leavers, overseas students, unemployed, women re-entering the workforce or “out of trade” apprentices wanting to complete the qualification they started.
Entry Requirements
Minimum successful completion of Qld school year 10 or equivalent.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): Skills gained via work or life experience are recognised and may reduce the duration and fees of the course.
Study Options:
Flexible attendance offered to suit your needs.
Fast track: 10-12 months full-time. Part-time 2-3 days a week.
Apprenticeship or study a partial amount of this qualification whilst at a School in a school based Apprenticeship.
